Auras are a direct reflection of our attitude and spiritual inclinations. They influence others in subtle ways, and our surroundings too. This is why it’s important to learn how to calm the mind and shift negative energy out.

These tips will do exactly that!

1) Take A Shower or Bath

Showers have a psychological healing effect, which in turn allows the mind to let go of negative thoughts and the aura to become more clear. As you shower, watch the water disappear down the drain or disperse away from your feet, breathing freely and imagining your bad aura moving away from your mind along with the water. With every exhale let go of your negative thoughts. You can also treat your auric field and physical body by soaking in a steaming bath with epsom salt or a sea salt bath treatment. Eucalyptus and lavender are great additions as well.

2) Comb The Aura

Combing the surrounding aura will help cleanse it by dissipating the energy. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Using your fingers as a comb, comb through the space surrounding your body, starting at your head and continuing downward to the toes. Afterward, clean your hands with running water allowing all picked-up energies to be washed away.

3) Smudge The Aura

Smudging has been used for thousands of years for this exact purpose! You could say dispelling negative energy is its specialty. A cleansing practice with ancient roots, it would be used when a person was sick, moving into a new living situation, clearing ‘bad energy’ built up over time, and in other cultural practices. You can use all kinds of different things to smudge, but traditionally it’s recommended to use sage. You can also gently breathe in some of the smudged air (not recommended for asthmatic individuals). Be sure to smoke it all around the outline of your body, and your room. Getting rid of negative energy in your room is important because it can become a place of dwelling on things that don’t serve you

4) Play

Running/playing freely helps both our mind and body loosen up and de-stress. Stress is a huge negative pull on the aura that when we let go, things immediately begin to shift for our energetic bodies. Embracing freedom is a spiritual quality, so do an activity that reminds you of that. Take deep breaths overlooking a beautiful outdoor scenery, go biking, running, or do other things that make you feel “big” and connected to the present moment. Go ahead, stretch your arms outward and give your body a spin on a grassy lawn or meadow.

5) Use Hematite Crystals

Carry a piece of Hematite with you. Hematite is one of the best-known crystals for protecting against negative energy.  It’s relatively inexpensive, and you can find it easily in our store or at your local jeweler.
