Growing from Ghosting: 5 Things To Consider While Dealing with Silence

08.01.2018 in Empowerment, Healing, Love, Relationships, Soulmate, Stress Management, Twin Flame

“The important thing to remember is that when someone ghosts you, it says nothing about you or your worthiness for love and everything about the person doing the ghosting. It shows he/she doesn’t have the courage to deal with the discomfort of their emotions or yours, and they either don’t understand the impact of their behavior or worse, don’t care.” ~Jennice Vilhauer

Let’s get this out of the way first: Ghosting is crappy etiquette. There’s no real, concrete excuse for it, except perhaps pure, unadulterated laziness with a touch of cruelty.

A 7-Step Plan for Finding Love After a Devastating Breakup

“Resilience in love means finding strength from within that you can share with others.” ~Sheryl Sandberg

It took me a couple months to start repairing my broken heart after the toughest breakup of my life. I thought we were going to spend our lives together, but the gods of love had other plans.

After I’d grieved in healthy (and not-so-healthy ways) I knew I could take two paths: stay stuck in my misery or pick myself up, dust off my sadness, and make a plan to move on.

And now it’s time for you to move on and find love again,

Love Isn’t Enough (and Other Lessons from Ending a 6-Year Relationship)

“Some people think that it’s holding on that makes one strong; sometimes it’s letting go.” ~Unknown

Sometimes we prolong relationships for the sake of comfort and familiarity. We’re fearful of what’s out there, and life without a partner. No matter how many times we’ve been hurt, taken for granted, or had our needs neglected, we still choose to stay even if our mind and heart strongly suggest otherwise.

I thought I was strong for putting up with my ex’s mistreatment. I had held the ability to forgive in high regard,

Why I Keep My Heart Open Even Though I’ve Been Deceived

“You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you’ll live in torment if you don’t trust enough.” ~Frank Crane

I’m heading home with a latte in hand, listening to This American Life through my headphones when a woman sitting on a bench outside the café waves me down. She looks like she’s in her sixties with grayish brown bangs and a worn pink winter jacket. I pull my headphones out of my ears.

“Excuse me, can you tell me how far it is from here to 77 Westwood?” she asks.

3 Empowering Ways to Reframe Anxiety: Work With It, Not Against It

“If I take death into my life, acknowledge it, and face it squarely, I will free myself from the anxiety of death and the pettiness of life—and only then will I be free to become myself.” ~Martin Heidegger

If you are a lifelong anxiety warrior like me, you’ve been on a journey of ups and downs.

Anxiety fills our whole bodies. Tension. Heart pounding. Sometimes I feel like my heart must be visibly pulsating so much so that if there are others around, they can see it.

There are varying levels and types of anxiety,

3 Signs It’s Time to Break Up

“Celebrate endings, for they precede new beginnings.” ~Jonathan Lockwood Huie

There was an incessant doubt deep inside that wouldn’t subside. It followed me everywhere—through the good times and the rough times.

By “good,” I mean things were okay. They were never great, ecstatic, wildly passionate, and deeply connected.

I tried to escape it, block it out, ignore it, and pretend this nagging feeling would eventually disappear.

But my heart wasn’t skipping a beat. The spark had long disappeared. I never had butterflies thinking about him. I felt myself slowly withdrawing.

You Have to Know What Kind of Love You Deserve to Attract It

“Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find all barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ~Rumi

My ex used to stomp out of the house every time we had an argument.

Literally, he would leave. And usually before he left he’d smash something. One time it was a lamp; another time it was a cast iron skillet and the tile floor it landed on.

He would stay away for about an hour, driving his sports car really fast to let off steam.

Signs Of a Toxic Relationship

11.09.2017 in Empowerment, Love, Relationships, Soulmate, Spirituality, Twin Flame

By: Advisor Desiree

It’s likely that we’ve all found ourselves in a toxic relationship at one point without even knowing it, whether it be in love, family or friendships.

The first sign of being in such a negative relationship is losing your sense of self. If a relationship changes you it should be for the better – in a much more positive direction rather than constantly feeling like you are having to hold yourself back.

Does it feel like your always giving and never receiving anything in return?

Maybe you’re also the one who is doing all of the initiating when it comes to contact and communication.

5 Ways to Deal With Envy So It Doesn’t Steal Your Happiness

“Happiness is found when you stop comparing yourself to other people.” ~Unknown

Throughout this year, I’ve noticed myself feeling envious of other people. Particularly, I would feel envious of the famous people that I would see on television, read about in magazines, and follow on social media.

I wouldn’t even be envious of them for the things one might expect. It wasn’t because they were famous or wealthy. It wasn’t because they had millions of followers on social media. And it wasn’t because they were good looking.

Are You In The Friend Zone?

05.09.2017 in Empowerment, Love, Relationships, Soulmate, Spirituality, Stress Management, Twin Flame

By: Advisor Rhonda

You can’t explain the feeling you get when you two are together..all you know is that it’s magnetic! The chemistry and the connection is the strongest you have ever felt with anyone. You find yourself thinking about them all the time and you still get butterflies whenever you are around them. With the history you share it’s so easy to share any and everything. So, why the feelings of uncertainty you ask. It feels so right and you just know that you are soulmates but at times this person acts a little weird and distant,
