5 Lessons I Learned About Gratitude From My Grandfather

22.11.2018 in Gratitude, Healing, Holidays, Personal Development, Positive Thinking

From Sivana By Elizabeth Overstreet

When you meet someone who is happy, you may assume their life is easier, and they have fewer worries. But, countless times, in observing those who are happy, I’ve had the realization that what makes them happy stems from a high level of gratitude.

Have you heard the analogy of people carrying their biggest problems into a large arena and leaving them there? The gist of the analogy is that if you could peer into anyone’s life to see their problems, would you exchange their problems for yours?

How To Tell If You’ve Found Your Twin Flame

03.11.2018 in Love, Relationships, Self Love, Soulmate, Spirituality, Twin Flame, Valentine's Day

From Sivana By Jennifer Aurelia

We all are walking around this planet with relationships that nurture us, challenge us, and cheerlead us on our path for growth and evolution. Each one of us come here with a soul group, a bunch of souls who have agreed to help us as we help them learn our planned earthly lessons, make our mistakes, release our karmic debt and journey through this life. Soul mates can be our sister, brother, mother in-law, spouse, co-worker, best friend, ex-boss or someone as unassuming as a homeless person on the street. We have so many soul mates or soul friends that come and go in our lives and even when one might come in &

Here are 4 Tips That Help When A Relationship Ends

29.10.2018 in Love, Positive Thinking, Relationships, Self Love, Stress Management

Written by: Johnmendu

The ending of a relationship can be a very traumatic experience for both partners. The unfortunate thing is not all love relationships work. No one would ever wish to have a repetition of the same things from relationships, but breakups are always a sign of incompatibility. At times the ending may be amicable but the unfortunate times are when it turns hostile. It does not matter whether it is you or your partner who called for the breakup but the most important thing is to learn on how to push on and recover from the painful ordeal.

3 Interesting Things About The Spirit World

27.10.2018 in Holidays, Manifestation, Mediumship, Personal Development, Psychic Development, Psychic Readings, Psychics

From Sivana By Tina Heals

Do you think spirits exist? Let me tell you, they do. This hologram that we live in, is so glorious in its makeup that we truly discern nothing of it. Practically nothing anyway!

We see less than 1% of the electromagnetic spectrum. Yes you heard that right. We also hear less than 1% of the acoustic spectrum. Once you’ve let that sink in, you might come to concede that we really do not know much about CONSCIOUSNESS and different manifestations of it.

Ghosts and spirits are energy too.

5 Steps To Consciously Combat Jealousy

10.10.2018 in Empowerment, Life Skills, Personal Development, Positive Thinking, Relationships, Stress Management

From SivanaSpirit By Lisa Cappiello:

I’d like to believe that because I’m a yogi, a healer, and an ongoing spiritual seeker, that I’m immune to jealousy. Especially since I believe that jealousy is such an unnecessary, low-vibrational state of being, and I never want it directed toward me. But I’d be lying. Truth be told, there are still times that my ego gets the best of me and I fall prey to the green-eyed monster.

Just as it did recently, when one of my boyfriend’s social media followers was, in my opinion, a bit too flirtatious with her commentary.

Why We Might Feel Lonely and What to Do About It

“We have all known the long loneliness and we have learned that the only solution is love and that love comes with community.” ~Dorothy Day

Throughout my life it’s been really hard to admit when I’ve felt lonely.

I’ve been through intense periods where I have been without others.

I’ve been surrounded by people yet have felt no real connections.

The people I have loved have been physically or emotionally absent.

I’ve simply been alone over weekends, over weeks, over months, over years, and it has been grueling and horrible.

“He who lives in harmony with himself lives in harmony with the world.” ~Marcus Aurelius

At the end of August I moved to Madison, Wisconsin. This was my second major move in a year.

In both cases, I was separated from almost my entire prior social network. After college, making friends seems like a totally different ball game.

Here in Madison, I wake up before five in the morning to go to work and don’t get back until six or seven on most days of the week. This leaves me feeling exhausted,

9 Ways to Silence Self-Criticism and Embrace Self-Love

“I don’t know a perfect person. I only know flawed people who are still worth loving.” ~John Green

Do you ever wonder if that voice in your head is right?

Do you re-live events, scouring through every detail to look for places where you went wrong in your actions?

Do you ever walk away from a conversation with your inner voice ranting that you should have done better—that you should have said this or that instead?

That self-critical voice became a prominent friend of mine. I called it the gremlin.

The Power of Silence: Free Yourself from Painful Thoughts

20.09.2018 in Life Skills, Personal Development, Positive Thinking, Spirituality, Stress Management

“Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at anytime and be yourself.” ~Hermann Hesse

As a child, I hated when someone told me to sit still and be quiet, and rightly so. I was young and full of energy; every minute of being still and silent was a minute of missing out on this magnificent life.

Then, as I grew older and entered into teenage and young adult years, it grew into a fear with a capital “F” of being still and silent; for as soon as I was quiet and still,

The Lost Art of Silence: Get Quiet and You’ll Know What You Need to Do

20.09.2018 in Empowerment, Health, Personal Development, Spirituality, Superstitions

By

“Silence isn’t empty. It’s full of answers.” ~Unknown

Last week I was visiting the Scandinave, a Scandinavian-style bath spa, with my mom, when it struck me how rare true silence has become. By true silence, I mean silence in the form of not speaking, but also silence in the form of reflection, pause, a capacity to become still, a capacity to just be and not do.

The art of silence was lost. Even at these baths, where the goal was to disconnect and enjoy the stillness of nature, there was constant chatter among groups with voices audible across the pool.
